Descripción

In this week of April 27 to May 1st students will get ready to get involved in another story that sums up to the Unit topic of Adventurers. In this week, the story, "Ghost Towns of the American West", will require students to fine tune their skills in generalization, as well as summarize. They will find new vocabulary, adverbs and will handle spelling words that have Greek parts. As you may know, the writing task is being substituted by an oral challenge during this contingency time.

SUMMARY RESUMEN
Ghost Towns of the American West In the mid-1800s, large numbers of Americans headed west in search of land and riches. The result was many small towns being built seemingly overnight. These same towns were deserted when the promised wealth didn’t materialize. To this day, you can see ghost-like remnants of these small, temporary towns.
Pueblos fantasmas del Oeste americano
A mediados de 1800, un gran número de estadounidenses se dirigieron al oeste en busca de tierra y riquezas. El resultado fue la fundación de muchos pequeños pueblos que se construyeron aparentemente durante la noche. Estas mismas ciudades se quedaron
desiertas cuando la riqueza prometida no se materializó. Hasta el día de hoy se pueden ver los restos fantasmales de estos pueblos pequeños y temporales.
