the development of spatial and temporal notions for understanding the main historical events and processes in Mexico; the development of skills for managing historical information; the recognition of our history as part of the national identity, allowing them to value and care for the natural and cultural heritage; as well as the integration of a cultural background to participate, in a critical and informed way, in solving the problems that afflict contemporary society. To achieve the above purposes, linked to the study of History at the secondary level, the book allows the student to know, reflect and analyze the History of Mexico from the perspective of different factors such as change, multicausality, simultaneity, space in short, the historical situations of human society in the past, present and future.

Conduct research on the society and economy of your community or another Mexican region. Describe the geographic location of the towns and cities that make up that region: What products mentioned in the topic were produced or exploited in colonial times? What social and cultural component and economic activities did that community have? How were they transformed with the arrival of the Spanish? What relationships do you observe between the economy and the colonial society of that region with its current situation? Present your work to the group. The teacher will evaluate them.
